2015.43 VELOCITIME Supports our PATAFA Athletes at SEA GAMES 2015
Not a lot of people know that we have an athletics program. This program is being managed by the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association [PATAFA]. In recent decades, our performance at the regional games such as the Asian and Southeast Asian [SEA] Games have been dismal. Yet this year, with the new leadership of Dr. Philip Ella Juico, the new president of PATAFA, the Philippines is set to accomplish and collect at the minimum eight [8] gold medals at the SEA GAMES which has just started today in Singapore and officially kicks off on June 5. The current team of 36 athletes under PATAFA is more than confident that they could even go for a 12 gold medal feat, hoping to best the Philippines best record for most gold medals which was in 1983 and incidentally also took place in Singapore.

The following disciplines is where the Philippines could strike gold:
– Hammer Throw [men]
– 400 Meter
– 400 Meter Hurdles
– 300Meter Steeplechase
– 4×400 Meter Relay
– Decathlon
– Long Jump
– 800 Meter
– Paul Volt

It is with deep pride that VELOCI TIME partners with PATAFA to support our athletes in their quest for gold at this year’s SEAGAMES. VELOCI TIME is a home grown brand and is proudly Filipino. It is rare that local brands support international athletics teams to represent their home countries. This is the first of its kind and it is also a momentous event. The brand also represents the athletes in a way that they area able to use their VELOCI TIME Pulse watches to take the time, to measure their performance over lap periods and also monitor their performance. It also helps that the sports watches are made of sturdy material fit for our toughest athletes. These products have also been tested and can even withstand 100 meters under water.

So who are our athletes? I never had the chance to get to know everyone, so I will just write down the names here from the information given to me.
