TITANIUM PREVIEWS: Reebok Zignano 2.0

Since I don’t have much time to blog ill be doing this entry via my mobile phone since I used my iPhone to take photos of the said shoe. This is just a photo preview of the REEBOK Zignano 2.0 that will come out February 2013 in the Philippines. It’s currently on wear test mode prior to final production and I’m so happy to be among those blessed to test upcoming product lines related to running of REEBOK Philippines.

In the photo above, this is the new look of the Zignano. From the side view it does not seem like there has been a lot of changes but wait till you see more.

For instance, in this second photo and a closer look at it, it is clear that they’ve solidified the Zigtech plate at the heel portion providing more medial support. Also, the plastic plate that helps translate the concept of the energy return technology also changed.

In this third photo, you’ll notice that the back portion of the shoe has reflectors. Since this is a “demo unit”, the final product line that will come out may have more reflectors for nighttime running.

The fourth photo also shows another side view of the show and a little preview of the sole. Notice black areas in the sole? Those are the main areas of cushioning. It differs greatly from previous zignano as this one has added supportive cushioning on the sides allowing for impact from moving side to side and is perfect for those doing hills repeats. I’ve yet to test it on hills but I’ve already run on these shoes an initial 5 kilometers.

And finally, the Zignano sports what REEBOK calls the Transition Zone. What exactly is this? I really don’t know yet either. More details will follow. Truth is, the sample shoes you are seeing just came fresh from the factory as of May 30, 2012 and it’s just July 3 as of this press time. So it’s literally fresh and hot of the press!

So when will the final verdict come out? I have three weeks or 50 kilometers to go before I make my final review. Till then, hope you guys like the preview photos!
