It’s going to be an EPIC adventure
So I am currently finishing a quick blog entry about the CHRIS SPORTS EPIC RELAY 250KM event happening this weekend while waiting for other teammates here at the SHELL station here in North Luzon Expressway. And I am the first runner for the RUN 24/7 team. This will be the first major race event that I will join in behalf of the team and yes, it is also going to be my last as well. This is the second time that CHRIS SPORTS is having this event, and for 2012 there are several things to look forward to.
This weekend is going to be a long one for all the runners!
One, this year there are several categories and more chances of winning! There’s the Corporate, All Men, Call Center, Mixed and Ultra editions. For RUN 24/7, I will be the first runner and kick off the race for our team. The team is composed of 10 teammates, and it will traverse the Lighthouse in Subic Bay and run its course to Bataan with the most challenging part of the route a run up to Mt. Samat and back to Subic. There will be World War 2 landmarks and for those dying to get out of the city, the route offers a glimpse of the countryside and a magnificent coastline.
So here’s saying God bless all the runners! Run safe! Run proud! And most especially, make the most of the time to run with all of your heart out, knowing this is not about you. This is about the spirit of teamwork. This is about making history. This is your EPIC RELAY. So make it the most memorable one!
